How a writing session works
Children write freely first. Feedback comes afterwards, one small step at a time, matched to their year group.

Your child writes
A sentence about their weekend, a story, or today’s word. Their buddy can offer a gentle prompt if they get stuck.

The buddy marks a word
It gently points to a word worth another look, with a small hint. Never a page of red pen.

They find the fix
Your child corrects it themselves. Words they found hard come back later as spelling practice until they stick.
What we’re building
Short daily activities that follow the English National Curriculum for Years 1 to 3. The writing coach comes first, and the rest follow.

LearnSmart Kids is being built on Claude, the AI model made by Anthropic. Claude is what lets every child get practice made just for them.
Our own spelling and grammar rules double-check each suggestion before a child sees it, and everything stays within age-appropriate limits we set for 5–8 year olds.

Safe by design
Children aged 5–8 deserve a product that is calm, private and in the hands of their grown-ups.
